Following the death of Rt Rev Cyril Milner in 1998, after a 50 year ministry in Fleetwood, Rev Ian Thatcher, took over the ministry of St. Paul's, Fleetwood for seven years. Ian left Fleetwood in October 2006. Under Ian Thatcher's Gospel ministry the church has grown and there have been a number of conversions. The Church Council are praying that God raise up a Bible-believing man, holding to the Reformed convictions of the Thirty-Nine Articles, a man with a pastor’s heart; a man of Gospel convictions, able to reach out to the lost. In a small church, it is most helpful if the Minister’s wife is a support to him and is involved with the work. The stipend is open to negotiation with the Church Council. The Church has a manse next door to the building. The Church is largely autonomous and is currently under the supervision of Bishop, Rt Rev Arthur Bentley-Taylor. |
